The children in Infants and 1st Class loved learning about the work of the doctor over the past fortnight. During Aistear, the children were given the opportunity to play in our Doctors' Surgery role play area. They made appointments, examined patients and wrote prescriptions. In the construction area, the children built hospitals, ambulances and we even had a vaccination centre in the classroom!! They made lots of creations using playdough. They were so creative! In SESE, the children learned all about looking after themselves and learned how to check their heart rate (resting and after some exercise) and also learned about the lungs. They built a model of the lungs using straws and balloons and could see how our lungs work. Well done boys and girls!
