Many thanks to Gaeilscoil Charraig na Siúire, especially Mr. O'Halloran and Múinteoir Neasa, for hosting a soccer blitz for local schools in Carrick United FC. It was a fantastic event. The girls and boys of Clonea Power NS were an absolute credit to the school community. Congratulations to the girls team who were victorious in the cup and the boys team who were victorious in the shield final. Well done Boys and Girls!

Congratulations to Aoibheann and Lilly in 4th class, who made a fabulous model of The Titanic, in advance of their school trip to The Titanic Centre in Cobh. Well done!!
2nd, 3rd and 4th Class made volcanoes today. They had great fun making the volvanoes and watching them erupt! A huge well done to the children for their performance of "These Days" by Rudimental at Waterford Generation's Music Extravaganza on Friday in John Robert Square, Waterford.
The children worked so hard practising and did a fantastic job! Thank you to Dara from Music Generations for his hard work with our classes this year. They loved music lessons each Thursday! 3rd and 4th Class studied Italy in Geography. They integrated it with persuasive writing and presented mini projects which included important information about Italy Bravo...Ben fatto!! 👏 2nd, 3rd and 4th Classes explored maps. They looked at keys, direction and routes and devised some interesting questions. Well done. We look forward to exploring the time tables on the back of the maps before we get our holidays!
We had our sports day today. Have a look on the "Active Schools - Physical Activity" tab to see some pictures and videos from the day.
