Today was a very proud day for everyone at Clonea-Power NS, as we raised our Active Flag. The whole school played their part in achieving the Active Flag. Thank you to Geraldine for raising our flag and for her efforts and dedication throughout the year.
2nd, 3rd and 4th Class enjoyed a tour of Cork Harbour and a visit to The Titanic Centre, Cobh. It was a brilliant day!
The children in Infants and 1st Class had a lovely day on their school tour to Activate in Waterford!!
The children in Infants and 1st Class were tasked with making a paper chain as long as possible out of an A4 sheet of paper. Well done to Luca and NIna for creating the longest chain!
Our school has been awarded its first ever Active School Flag, following an accreditation visit on Friday!

A huge thank you to past pupil CJ Hamilton, for joining us on a Zoom call on Friday. He spoke to the children about his debut for the Irish soccer team and his career with Blackpool. He answered any questions the children had. Thanks again CJ!
Many thanks to Gaeilscoil Charraig na Siúire, especially Mr. O'Halloran and Múinteoir Neasa, for hosting a soccer blitz for local schools in Carrick United FC. It was a fantastic event. The girls and boys of Clonea Power NS were an absolute credit to the school community. Congratulations to the girls team who were victorious in the cup and the boys team who were victorious in the shield final. Well done Boys and Girls!
