science week in junior, senior infants & 1st class!

Junior Infants, Senior Infants & 1st Class acted as little scientists for Science Week. 
First, the children investigated Skittles. They added water to the skittles resulting in the food colouring to dissolve and diffuse through the water. 

For the second experiment, the children practiced blowing bubbles. Then, the children experimented with bubble solution. The children blew bubbles on the tables, they blew bubbles in their hands and they even blew bubbles inside of bubbles!!

For the final experiment, the children investigated different materials. These materials included playdough, straws, spaghetti, marshmallows, cups and lollipop sticks. We discussed which materials would make the strongest tower. The children built towers out of the different materials.
